Obituary of Louis Philippe Auguste Dumouchel

Our father Louis Philippe Auguste Dumouchel, fondly known as Papipa, returned home to his heavenly father on November 7, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 20, 1930, in Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada to Antoinette Leduc and Ronaldo Dumouchel. Growing up he had 1 sister, Therese, and 3 brothers, Gerard, Bernard, and Jean-Pierre. He married Monique D'Aoust on February 23, 1952, and they were together for 57 years. They became the parents of six children. Johanne (Chris) Cleveland, Christian (Karen), Sylvie (Cliff) Warren, Linda (Craig) Mendenhall, Philippe Jr. (Mary Grace), and Eric (Judy). Later in life he married Lois Bergholm. They were together for 10 years until her death in 2020. Dad was a general contractor by trade and loved to build and remodel homes. He served as a military cadet in Canada, was a small aircraft pilot and the owner of Papipa's Deli. One of the biggest highlights of his life was becoming a citizen of the United States. Dad was blessed with a charismatic charm that will be missed by many. He leaves behind his children, brother Bernard, 35 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, his two spouses Monique and Lois, sister Therese, brothers Gerard, and Jean-Pierre. The family would like to thank Canyon Hospice Care for the loving service they administered to dad in his final days. A memorial service will be held on November 23rd, 2024, at the Midvalley Bible Church, 13985 South 2700 West. Bluffdale. UT at 11:00 a.m.
