I first met Mike when he first started dating my twin sister “Liz”. The thing I will miss most about him is that he would do anything for my sister. They had a love that was not very common. Together they had a great sense of humor, they would feed off each other, and before you knew it, you were laughing until you cried. Mike had a great laugh… When they were traveling around the United States, he drove for many hours to ensure that Liz could surprise me on our birthday. This is just a small tidbit of the things he would. Mike did anything that he could to help other people. I could go on and on about how Mike affected my life. Most of all, the impact on Liz’s life. Mike… You left a hole in the hearts of who truly knew you. Give Bear, Bob, Hershal and Dasie a big hug from aunt Marian. With all my love, Rest in Peace.

When Mike married Liz he didn’t realize he would inherit her best friend and husband as well. Even when they were traveling, we came to see them in Maine and had a wonderful time.
I truly enjoyed our many couple’s adventures from Vegas trips to Painting classes or just waiting for us girls to get our steps in at the park. Mike never hesitated to try something new and always had a smile.
Our last outing together was a river rafting trip. We all thought we were too old but I wanted to go so everyone was onboard. We had a great time until a storm came in just before we were to head to the water. Several people that booked with us was turning away, Liz and I thought about it as well. Until Mike said “let’s go for it” and what a great time we had, we were cold even in wet suits but laughed like crazy and will always remember this day as well as many others with Mike.
Thanks for all the laughs over the years and the great memories! You will always be a huge part of us both.
Love Linda & Scott

Uncle Mike,
Thank you for always loving me and being there for me even in my worst moments. You were taken from us too soon, but you left this earth the way you wanted. My heart hurts knowing I never got to truly tell you how much I love and appreciate you. God needed another angel and he chose you. Your love for Aunt Lizzie is ever lasting and we will take care of her and Stella down here. Please give oma and opa a hug for me until I see you again. I love you and I will miss you so much.
