Lois Russell (1934-2024)
Not all who wander are lost.
Lois Ann Russell was born on September 18, 1934 and passed away on August 10, 2024.
Lois was a true adventurer. Lois was known for taking the road less traveled. If there was an adventure that was offered she quickly accepted. She passed this on to all who knew her. She lived a truly amazing life. She was a shining example to all who knew her of hard work and dedication. She was a wonderful mother while working three jobs and completing her college education and earning her degree. She worked at the University of Utah in the Cancer research department for years. She also worked for the State of Utah.
Lois was proud of her family and they were the joy of her life. She is survived by her son Rodney and daughter Kelly (Tracy); sister Kay Prout, brother Frank Severson (Becky); her 6 grandchildren Stephan (Brittney), CoreyAnne (James), Buddie (Alyson), Jeremy, Christopher (Rachel) and Keaton; and 5 great grandchildren Hayden, Darby, Be-El, Charley Joy and Archer.
Lois would often reminisce of the adventures she and her dear friend Carol took over the years and how they would listen to the Highway Men over and over for hours while traveling. Lois had a special place in her heart for Swan Lake, South Dakota and her South Dakota family and friends.
A special thank you to the staff & friends at Truewood and Canyon Home Care & Hospice. You made a difference in our lives.
She was preceded in death by her mother Velda Severson and sister Velda Rothwell.
