Obituary of Gary L Parker-Benzon

Gary L. Parker-Benzon, 59, born May 20, 1965, in Montpelier ID to Don and Roma Parker, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2024. Gary married the love of his life, Michael Benzon on April 9, 1993. When Mike met Gary, he was driving horse drawn carriages until he found his passion in cosmetology. Gary was a cosmetologist for many years and became a coveted educator for hair color before becoming a barber at the University barber shop. Gary was a strong person who fought for the will to live. Gary loved traveling, spending time with his family, and his dog Sophie. He was a kind and loving soul who was the life of the party and had an infectious laugh and a fun sense of humor who loved to sing at every opportunity. To know Gary was to love Gary. Gary is survived by his husband Mike Parker-Benzon. Brothers and sisters: Jan (Jim) Taylor; Jim (Tara) Parker; Sue (Orval) Harris ; Terry (Laura) Parker; Teresa Parker Singleton (Art) Preceded in death by: His parents Sister; Carla Jean Parker Brother; D.K. (Kaylene) Parker. Father-in-law; Buddy (Peggy) Benzon. Grandparents; LaVar & Rhena Nield ; Carl & Hilda Parker. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Also, survived by plenty of friends, who he considered family. Services will be held at City View Mortuary on Saturday August 10, 2024. Viewing will begin at 10:00am funeral services at 11:00am with a luncheon to follow.
