Obituary of Kirk Ostrander Boulden

Kirk Ostrander Boulden, 82, lost his battle with Parkinson's Disease, surrounded by his family on May 23, 2024, in Murray, Utah. Preceded in death by William Bliss Boulden, Doris Helen (Ostrander) Boulden (parents), Don & LaRue Boulden (brother and sister-in-law).
Survived by his beautiful wife of 61 years, Claudia (Brown) Boulden; siblings, Garth (Loraine) Boulden, Linda Boulden, Rita (Ed) Lyman; his five children, Alicia (Alan) Inkley, Matthew Boulden, Natalie (Darin) Rowden, Amy (Brian) Kainu, Ann Bray; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren (and 2 more on the way).
Kirk was born on December 31, 1941, in the Salt Lake County Hospital. As a child he enjoyed fishing and hunting with his father and brothers in the mountains of Northern Utah. Kirk served an LDS mission in Southern California. He attended, and graduated from, Jordan High School, LDS Business College, and University of Phoenix. He had a long and successful career with Frito-Lay and retired in 2000. Kirk and Claudia spent their retirement building two family homes in Kelso, Washington and in Battle Ground, Washington. Kirk and Claudia served in the Knoxville Tennessee Mission. They also had many good times traveling in their truck and camper. Kirk and Claudia recently returned home to Salt Lake Valley after living in Washington State for 37 years.
A service will be held in his honor at 12:00pm, preceded by a viewing at 11:00 am, on May 31, 2024, at the LDS Chapel, 981 East Revere Circle, Salt Lake City, UT 84117. The family wishes to thank Quality Home Health and Hospice for their compassionate support during a difficult time.
