Obituary of Phyllis Keiser-Perry

In Loving Memory of Phyllis Keiser-Perry, September 04, 1931 – October 26, 2023. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Phyllis Perry. She was welcomed into the presence of God, surrounded by her loving family, on October 26, 2023, at the age of 92. Phyllis was born on September 04, 1931, to Minerva and Henry Keiser in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She was blessed with two brothers, Skip and Donald. From the very beginning, she brought joy and warmth into the lives of those around her. She grew up to be a loving daughter, sister, spouse, parent, and friend. Phyllis was an outstanding mother to her eight children. She was known for her remarkable strength, independence, and unwavering determination, all of which paved the way for her success in life. She retired from Key Bank, where she worked for over 25 years and was known for her exceptional skills and commitment. Every Saturday, Phyllis cherished the tradition of going shopping and “getting a bite to eat” with her daughter. She also enjoyed activities like fishing, camping, bike riding, traveling, spending time in the great outdoors, and embarking on exciting trips to Wendover with family and friends. She loved her family deeply, cherished the simple joys in life, like a good cup of coffee to go alongside her cookies, and held a deep reverence for the Lord. The love carried by her for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was truly remarkable. She spread joy and warmth to all of those around her. Whenever Phyllis encountered something unexpected, she was recognized by a phrase that often graced her lips, "Oh for hells sakes", accompanied by her infectious laugh and a twinkle in her eye. Phyllis is survived by her children, Robert Highland (Jackie), Georgia McKee (George), Toby Salazar (Beverley), David Salazar, daughter-in-law, Colleen Salazar, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a wide circle of family and friends, all who will forever cherish the memories and the love shared with her. She is preceded in death by her ex-husband, Kay Highland; her husbands, Lou Salazar and Gene Perry; her sons, Mike Salazar, Rick Highland, Steve Highland and Luis Salazar; her mother, father, and many others. We want to thank Cottonwood Creek Assisted Living for their exceptional and loving care they showed Phyllis in her last months. A graveside service at Elysian Burial Gardens 1075 E. 4580 S. Millcreek, UT will be held on Friday, November 10th 2023 1:00 PM. A celebration of Phyllis' life will follow, held at Hope Unlimited Community Church 4115 W. Sam's Blvd. Kearns, UT. We invite those whom Phyllis' life touched to join us in paying tribute to her memory and share stories that reflect the love and light she brought to our lives. Phyllis may no longer be with us in the physical world, but her memory and the love she shared with us will continue to live on in our hearts. As we bid farewell to this remarkable soul, let us remember her with the love and warmth she generously gave us all. Rest in peace, our dear Phyllis. You will be greatly missed and forever loved.
