My first impression of Sandy was that she was a 'salty, tough, red head.' Yet, she was the first person to show me kindness in my first position at the VMH Forensic Unit. I was vulnerable, uncertain and struggling with a number of life circumstances at the time. Although, it was a part-time position for her (as she was working full-time in the Juvenile Court) she was my first mainstay in this new position and I always looked forward to seeing her in the office when I arrived in the evening. Love you Sandy and am so grateful to all you gave me.

I worked with Sandi years ago at the old courthouse on 700 West and then again at the Sandy Court. She was the first one to train me and she was so patient! The thing I remember most about her was her laugh! It was so unique and you couldn’t help but start laughing yourself! I sure loved your mom! She sure loved you guys! I remember her always talking about you guys and I think you even brought the kids to the courthouse trick or treating a few times. I hope the memories of your sweet mom bring you peace during this difficult time! Miriam Harper
