Obituary of Barbara Ann Call Beal

Barbara (Bobbie) Ann Call Beal, 92, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister passed away peacefully in her home on September 30, 2021. Born September 19, 1929 in Tooele, Utah to Homer Ray and Lucille Jensen Call. Raised in Bingham and Copperfield Utah until moving to Murray Utah at the age of 13. Married Bennie D. Beal in 1946 where she followed him to San Francisco during his enlistment in the U.S. Navy. When World War II ended they moved to Kearns, Utah where they raised 5 children. Barbara has lived in the same house for over 70 years. She attended Salt Lake Community College to pursue her nursing degree but found her true passion for books and reading when she became an employee at the West Valley Library. She worked for 11 years, retiring in 1995. She was a regular attendee at the Kearns Senior Center for the next 23 years where she met many friends.
Besides being an avid reader she crocheted beautiful dollies and Afghans. She reupholstered several pieces of her furniture. She enjoyed tending to her backyard orchard and grape vines canning the fruit and making wine. She loved collecting antiques.
Survived by her children, Dianne Feldman, Carolyn (Joe) Vigil, Bennie (Shelly) Beal, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, brother Michael Call.
Preceded in death by parents, 2 siblings, Lou Ray, Reid, daughter Julie (Bob) Clark, Suzanne (Lloyd) Cole, 3 grandsons Bennie, Gable and Justin.
