In Loving Memory
Amy Ostler, age 46, born on March 8, 1975, died unexpectedly on May 8, 2021. She passed away peacefully in her sleep from natural causes. Amy had a light about her that was hard to miss, and her laugh was contagious. She was beautiful inside and out, imprinted her kindness and love on everyone she came in contact with.
Amy's greatest joy was her family. She was such a loving daughter, always determined to make her parents proud and passed this love onto her own children. Her children were her pride and joy! She was a devoted mother and was so proud of all her children. She was extremely excited for her first grandchild coming this August.
Anyone who truly knew Amy knew she was a survivor. She had a roller coaster of experiences in her life and persevered through them all. She graduated with her Associates Degree in Psychology from Argosy University and wanted to help those who struggled with addiction. Amy was a recovering addict herself and had recently graduated from an MRT program. She had big plans for the future. In the past year she had a newfound love for the work she was doing in the community; trying to give back, helping those in need, as well as doing her best to spread her kindness, positivity, and knowledge with those who were struggling. Amy strived to spread her love to all those she knew and made sure nobody got left behind. She will be missed by all and is a beautiful spirit that will never be forgotten.
She is preceded in death by her sister Jennifer, just last year and is survived by her Father: Kevin Ostler, her Mother and Stepfather: Tammy & Glen Briggs, her Siblings: Summer, Heidi, Dallin, McCall, Alex, Todd and Karie, and her Children: Marcus, Alyssa, and Talon.
Amy's memorial service and celebration of life will be held at the Hidden Grove Pavilion at Sugar House Park in Salt Lake City on Sunday June 13th at 2pm.
