Jana Lou Knighton Black
“Our Free Spirit”
At age 60 on March 13, 2020, our dear wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, sister, and friend was reunited with her son, Adam, in heaven. Born October 13, 1959, to Earl Dean and Cleo Johnson Knighton in Murray, Utah.
Known by her husband as Lou Lou, Michael and Jana met in 1994 and started a long and loving relationship. Jana enjoyed many years and miles riding the motorcycle with Michael and the Barons Motorcycle Club. Jana loved to spend time with her family and friends. She loved being silly with little kids and spending time with her granddaughters every chance she could. She loved the animals that she had over the years and liked being kind to others who were in need of a friend. When she was younger she enjoyed playing school with her siblings. She even taught her younger sister how to sight-read and write. She loved her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Survived by her spouse – Michael; her three children – Brandi Beckstrand, Anna Wells, and Chris Wells; her beautiful granddaughters. – Alexandria, Brooke, Brennah, and Henlie; brothers and sister – Stanley Knighton, Joel Knighton, Kerry Knighton, Kip Knighton, and Joy Lyn Knighton Kimber. Proceeded in death by her parents and her precious son, Adam Gregory Sturmer.
Special thanks to all who were friends of our social butterfly.
A life tribute will be determined at a later date due to the COVID-19 circumstances.
