Obituary of Rosanne Thorstad Phibbs

Rosanne Thorstad Phibbs, age 65, passed away January 18, 2020 in West Valley City, Utah after a short illness. Born in Ontario Oregon on February 25, 1954, she was the daughter of Thomas and Blanche Holley Thorstad. She was a 1972 graduate of Ontario High School, and took additional classes at the College of Idaho. In 1980, Rosanne moved with her family to the Salt Lake City area, where she worked as a customer service representative for American Express. She also had her own sewing and alterations business for many years. She was an expert seamstress and loved handcrafts such as crocheting and jewelry making. She was a wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephews, and had many friends. In 2010, while living in West Valley City, Utah, she met and married Michael (Mick) Phibbs, the love of her life. Mick and Rosie, as friends and family affectionately called them, enjoyed years of happiness together before her untimely death. Rosanne was predeceased by her parents, and her sisters Susan (Stan) Wells and Karyn (David) D’Anna. She is survived by sisters Holly (Louis) Tomlinson, Mary Lou (Daniel) Marshall, Kathy (Clint) Woodcox and by one brother, Bob (Julie) Thorstad.
