Obituary of Stephen Anthony Garcia

Stephen Anthony Garcia was born on August 5, 1986 to Jerry and Emily Garcia, he unexpectedly passed away on December 21, 2019 at the age of 33. Stephen is survived by his wife Katie L. McHaley Garcia, their children Ricky, Gracie and Kennadie, Mother Emily, brother's Phillip (Tish) and Patrick. Stephen's in~laws are Mother Rhonda L. McHaley, Julia, Ian (Katie), Amy (Darron) and Charlie (Brittney). Proceeded in death are his Father Jerry W. Garcia, brother Ricky, sister-in-law Josie and many other's. He was a very devoted husband and father, his kids were his entire world; he dropped anything and everything for them. Anyone who had the opportunity to meet him, he left an imprint in their hearts. During the times Stephen could excel in a career he devoted his time in Healthcare, he loved helping other's and gained pure love watching other's gain their health back. For those who knew Stephen closely, he struggled deeply with his ups and downs from his poor health; it defeated him. Stephen had a pure love for the outdoors. He loved anything and everything when it came to archery hunting, fishing, camping, boating etc. We have nothing but great memories and crazy stories up on those Wasatch mountains, his legacy will forever stay up on those mountains because that is where his ashes will be spread. I've heard from so many that it was almost impossible to find a person that would drop anything in a quick of a dime if you needed him, that was Stephen! He will forever be remembered for his story telling, his jokes, his constant teasing and a heart of gold! Our hearts are so heavy with the loss of him. Please pray for our babies, the loss of their father will forever impact them. Services to say your final goodbye to him will be at IPS Mortuary & Crematory 4555 South Redwood Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84123 on December 27th, 2019 from 12pm-2pm. Our Celebration Party for our Stephen is still underway, it will be sometime in January 2020.
