Obituary of William Archibald
William Archibald died July 16 surrounded by his three daughters (Penny Stone, Robin Way, and Leslie Michael) and devoted friend and caregiver Dale. In addition to his daughters and their spouses, Bill is survived by his brother Gordon, four grandchildren, and two and a half great grandkids.
Bill role-modeled being a gracious gentleman - optimistic, caring, and grateful under all circumstances. His cheerful nature earned him many friends.
After serving in WWII, Bill worked as a mechanical engineer for forty years. He served his church and Kiwanis for as many years.
After retiring in 1986, he and his wife Imogene (of 54 years) lived in a motor home for six years, traveling throughout the U.S, Canada, and Mexico. Retirement enabled Bill to pursue fulltime his passions for hiking, traveling, and volunteering.
Thanks to the Avenues Courtyard staff, Comfort Worx Hospice, his church family, and all his friends for making his final years comfortable.
A memorial service and social hour will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, October 15th at 4 p.m. South Temple at C Street (400 East)
