Obituary
Obituary of Tyler Leon Murdock
Please share a memory of Tyler to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
A son, brother, uncle, and one-of-a-kind friend. Tyler had a unique passion for life. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on November 5, 1988, to Paulette Dee Murdock and Dennis A. Butcher.
Tyler tragically passed away on September 11, 2025.
What many will remember most about Tyler was his warm personality. His cheerful, joking nature had a remarkable way of brightening any room he entered. He was often the heart of every gathering, spreading joy and laughter to everyone around him. Tyler had an extraordinary ability to make each person feel truly seen and appreciated—whether it was a close loved one or a stranger he met at the store. To Tyler, no one was a stranger; he befriended everyone he encountered. To know Tyler was to experience what it felt like to be genuinely loved.
Tyler was a man of many passions. He excelled in sales, bringing his infectious enthusiasm and heartfelt connections to everything he did. His pride in his work was evident. His love for bikes was boundless—he thrived on adventure and the great outdoors. In recent years, he found happiness in creating new memories—vacations, skydiving, boating with friends, camping, and quality time at his grandpa's property riding his bike and 4-wheelers. He cherished watching his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and embraced every thrill-seeking adventure that brought him closer to the things and people he loved.
Tyler believed anything was possible, he reached for the moon so he could live like a star.
Tyler was survived by his mother Paulette Dee Murdock, brother Dennis James Butcher; nephew Jaxson Butcher, and niece Paisley Butcher. He also left behind his grandfather Paul Leon Murdock, his Oma Pat Kaptryn Murdock, and family members Rob and Karen Surles, Brett Delgado, Misty Butcher, and Sage Briggs.
He was preceded in death by his father Dennis A. Butcher, his great-grandmother Venna Dunn, and his cousin Shilo Stewart.
